A path to health and healing
What if healing began from within? Imagine using your inner healer to stay healthy, recover from illness and trauma. Then see yourself transforming your relationships: with yourself, with others, and with the planet itself. This isn’t wishful thinking. It’s possible. But it requires a mentor, patience and persistence.
Healing, she learned early, begins long before the doctor arrives — and extends far beyond the prescription. From remote communities in Colombia to a holistic center in Southwest Florida, Dr. Casabianca has practiced medicine, psychotherapy, and Reiki with one constant conviction: that the body, the mind, and the heart cannot be treated separately. Her book Regaining Body Wisdom invites readers to rediscover that same truth for themselves.

Without borders
She has lived in the mountains and by the Colombian Coasts, in Montreal, and in Southwest Florida. She has been a physician, a psychotherapist, a Reiki healer, an educator, and a writer — never for long content to stay within a single frontier. Not restlessness, but a deep curiosity about what lies on the other side of every boundary: geographic, professional, and personal. A Florida resident since 2000, Silvia Casabianca has put into poetry the vicissitudes of leaving. Not all departures are chosen. In these pages she shares with others who are on the same crossing the sentiments inspired by the uprooting, the nostalgia for a world she can never return to, because the past cannot be reconstructed.

Transformation through compassion
The child who never felt fully seen grew into the adult called and committed to helping others find the courage to walk through the same path. From the age of nine, she dreamed of becoming a doctor, writing books, and creating a school where children could freely express themselves. It took decades, detours, and a few compassionate encounters to trust that those dreams were worth pursuing — and to recognize that her struggles were not unique, but deeply human. Compassion — first received, then practiced, then taught — became both her path and her purpose.

Writing as a tool to encourage love
As an educator and a healer, I learned to use my writing to encourage others to believe in themselves, break restrictive patterns and develop their potential for compassion. I teach compassionate parenting. Ask for our courses!

Transformation through CompassionLooking back, I see myself opting to travel down the roads not taken.
My life is an organic collage of vivid snapshots: a privileged child who knew herself thr
ough mirrors and the eyes of those who tended to her. A small person not yet herself, who gradually faced dangers and tasted unfamiliar waters before conquering independence. Where was
she going? She didn’t know. Would she become an educator? A medical doctor? A writer perhaps?
This child experienced life in wild areas, gained a sense of community and understood the meaning of solidarity while serving as a doctor in remote locations. She moved through the stages of love: from loving family, to choosing friends, to falling in love, to forming her own family, to accepting herself with all her flaws. Further down the path, she dedicated her life to acts of service and explored a path as an educator and counselor. She helped raise children in love and not in fear.
The girl I was, the paddler, the young doctor—evolved as a conscious, compassionate person to walk down the path less traveled, until she became this woman who is now writing to you.
